Olive tree
With its name deriving from ancient greek and its propensity to inhabit warmer areas, the olive tree has long been a symbol of the Mediterranean population. According to the myth, Athena planted it on the Acropolis as a gift of peace and fertility; and Odysseus sculpted through it the bedding for his wife. Capable of lighting up the nights and celebrating poets, the olive tree has animated, from opposite shores, routes and exchanges that were never commercial.
